We love how their surgeons use diagrams and models to help you understand how your eyes work. We also like how reassuring they are from the first consultation, discussing with you what to expect.
Moreover, they handle various eyelid issues, from droopy upper lids blocking your vision to under-eye bags making you look tired.
In fact, patients love how Eyes & Eyelids fixes the eyelids from turning in or out. We also appreciate how they do thorough scans for eyelid tumors—excellent prevention care.
And yes, they handle cosmetic procedures too. This includes both upper and lower blepharoplasty for a fresher appearance.
Another aspect we love is that their surgeons take the time to listen and explain procedures clearly. Patients consistently mention feeling really well-cared for.
The only drawback is their terrible booking system. Several patients complained about unwanted appointment cancellations and double bookings.

Furthermore, we appreciate how their vision-impairing droopy lids (ptosis) focus on restoring sight and appearance. Patients were thrilled to see better and feel more comfortable after their surgeries.
Besides that, patients also appreciate the practical approach they take in ectropion surgery, which addresses the outward turning of eyelids. We highly commend their staff for relieving any irritation on the eyelids.
Even eyelid tumor removal is handled with evident expertise, balancing complete removal with maintaining eyelid function and looks.
However, aside from surgery itself, several patients complained about the disruptive attitude of the staff when they inquired about the aftercare process.

For those considering Asian blepharoplasty, their surgeons understand the nuances of Asian eyelid anatomy and what looks natural.
In addition, we truly admire their attentive and professional consultations and clear explanations. We like the fact that the clinic is modern and well-equipped too.
Patients also praised the excellent aftercare. Patients had all the support they needed during recovery.
The only downside is Auckland Eye’s long wait times. Several people told us they had to wait at least 30 minutes before being attended to. We find this frustrating, especially when you have a pre-scheduled appointment.

They handle all eyelid issues, from tightening saggy skin to removing lumps and even complex reconstruction. Cosmetically, they do droopy lid correction (blepharoplasty) and fix more serious drooping (ptosis).
One big plus is their day surgery center. Patients appreciate the shorter wait times at the center, making everything smoother and quicker, which is always good. Patients also praised the safety of their procedures and the speed of their recovery.
We think a big reason for that is their modern techniques—less invasive, less downtime, and less worry about infection. They use Dermabond glue instead of stitches for upper eyelids, which ensures less scarring and no stitch removal.
Moreover, their “see now, pay later” plan is a significant plus. It provides greater financial flexibility for patients.

The before and after photos we saw show natural improvements and not overdone. In fact, the patients we talked to noted that the surgery made a real difference and helped them reduce puffiness, improve symmetry, and achieve a fresher look.
Beyond cosmetic surgery, we like that they also repair eyelids turning outwards (ectropion) or inwards (entropion), which are more about comfort and eye health.
Additionally, we appreciate that the whole experience at City Eye Specialists is very patient-friendly. Patients consistently praise how professional and skilled the surgeons and staff are.
