The 6 Best Flower Shops in Auckland for Any Type of Occasion

flower-shops-auckland
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Flower quality: We chose flower shops that use fresh and vibrant flowers and those that source and handle flowers the right way.

Customisation: We prefer florists who accept various arrangement types and custom arrangements for different occasions.

Delivery and service: We prefer flower shops that offer delivery or pick-up options, with reliable fees and timeframes.

Pricing: We reviewed flower shops with reasonable pricing and no other hidden fees like taxes or service fees.

A few months ago, I attended a wedding of my colleague. The venue is definitely romantic, but what stood out to me that day were the charming and neatly arranged flowers from the entrance to the hall.

Fast forward to last month, my nephew called asking for help to look for a flower shop for his proposal. That reminded me of the wedding, so I asked my colleague, and she happily shared the names they visited. That gave us a good starting point.

From there, we explored the shops ourselves. We checked their selections, arrangement styles, and customer service.

Here are the flower shops in Auckland that stood out during our search!

How much do fresh flowers cost?

Fresh flowers typically start at $65, depending on the type of flower and arrangement you need. Some shops offer same-day delivery but come with a separate fee for the courier.

1. Wandering Willow

Address: Unit 10/ 76 Rotu Drive, Westgate, Auckland

Contact Details: 09 558 1040; [email protected]

Operating Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Website

Wandering Willow is a florist based in Auckland that specialises in handcrafted dried and preserved floral arrangements rather than traditional fresh flowers, making their products ideal for long‑lasting décor and gifting.

Their dried florals are designed to stay beautiful for years, meaning recipients don’t have to worry about wilting or maintenance after delivery.

Their online shop offers a nationwide shipping service across New Zealand, with delivery options that include same‑day and overnight delivery for eligible orders, alongside standard delivery for most arrangements.

Delivery pricing is tiered — from small parcel rates to free shipping on orders over a certain threshold — and customers can also opt to pick up orders directly from their Auckland studio.

Because their products are dried rather than fresh blooms, their flower delivery isn’t about fresh cut or perishable arrangements, but timeless floral décor that arrives ready to enjoy right out of the box.

This focus on preserved florals can be a huge plus if you want something that lasts well beyond the delivery date, especially for gifts or home styling.

Customers appreciate the design‑centric aesthetic and handmade quality of the arrangements, which often come in unique styles not typically found in standard fresh flower shops.

However, because these aren’t fresh flower bouquets, they won’t appeal to everyone — especially those who want the traditional fresh bloom experience.

Delivery timing and cut‑off rules are clearly stated online, but like most third‑party shipping services, guaranteed delivery on a precise date isn’t 100% certain due to reliance on external carriers.

For urgent floral deliveries, this means you might need to plan ahead or choose local pick‑up if timing is critical.

Overall, Wandering Willow’s flower delivery service is best suited for unique, long‑lasting dried floral gifts or décor that can be shipped across New Zealand — and less so for those seeking traditional fresh florals with a short vase life.

Pros

  • Long‑lasting dried arrangements
  • Nationwide delivery, same‑day/overnight
  • Unique, design‑forward bouquets
  • Custom installations available

Cons

  • Studio visits by appointment

Best Blooms Florist has been a reputable and established flower shop since 2006. They’ve already completed over 100,000 website flower orders, proving that they’re a shop that you can trust.

We love that their florists are members of the New Zealand Professional Florists Association, which gives us confidence about their expertise and commitment to their craft.

In terms of their service offerings, you can’t go wrong shopping with them. They accept orders both physically and online. A client highlighted that the team kept her updated with her order of a bouquet of red roses and white lilies after purchasing online.

Delivery is also superb. They’re on time and even offer same-day delivery (as long as you’re in Auckland).

Someone also mentioned that it’s easy to order online, and we couldn’t agree more. They have an easy-to-use website, and they have great communication through email.

Another thing we like about this shop is that they have lots of seasonal flowers, which sometimes can be hard to find and source.

However, some customers note that their flowers are overpriced. For instance, an orchid in a pot costs $79.

Pros

  • Established reputation
  • Professional accreditation
  • Accepts in-store and online orders
  • Reliable delivery
  • User-friendly website
  • Seasonal flower selection
  • Open for all occasion flower requests

Cons

  • High-priced flowers

Great service

“Our school always use Best Blooms and has done so for many years. No matter the occasion, they are always able to accommodate our needs. It’s also a bonus that the delivery is often free! Their points system is very worthwhile.

Thank you, team! Keep up the great service.

I have attached a couple of the many floral designs purchased previously.”

Good quality and high level of service

“Best Bloom is very impressive. I’ve ordered flowers many times online (from other florists, depending on where family and friends are located), and you just hope what is sent out is as per the picture you see on the website. Best Blooms sent me a picture of the plant and gift I ordered before it was sent out; no one else I’ve ordered from has done this. It was so lovely to be able to see what was being sent out. I wasn’t left wondering if it was good quality. I will 100% order from Best Blooms again. Thank you, team, for your high level of service. My friend loves the plant and it’s placed where she will always see it!”

Blush, headed by Kelly, has been in the floral business for over 20 years now. They’re also recognised as industry influencers by New Zealand Floristry, which speaks of their leadership in the field.

We like that their online collection is pretty laid out by occasion and type of flowers, which makes it easy to browse and choose. Their physical shop is also inviting, where you can find other gift products like candles, alcohol, and homeware.

Aside from selling flowers, Kelly is also a wedding florist. A newlywed said Blush exceeded her expectations as Kelly perfectly brought their vision of a classic, elegant, and modern look venue for their wedding day.

Most customers are also happy with the customer service. A client said that she needed her order to be delivered to a different address, and the phone staff responded nicely. We can also agree with this, as we tried calling them and the staff is pretty welcoming.

Downsides? A few clients noted that some products online don’t match the flowers they receive when delivered. For us, this is a bit concerning as their marketing can be misleading and can make clients frustrated.

Pros

  • Over 20 years in the floral business
  • Recognised as leaders by New Zealand Floristry
  • Well-organised online store
  • Physical store with lifestyle offerings
  • Responsive customer service
  • Welcoming a physical shop

Cons

  • Misleading products online
  • Premium pricing

Friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging florists

“I attended one of Blush’s flower workshops at City Works Depot Auckland with a friend and absolutely loved it – both ladies were very friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging & super positive! They created a beautiful environment; the snacks & beverages were top notch too! Have been absolutely inspired to create more masterpieces. Have also ordered their bouquets from their website before for friends & family & they are always impeccable! Thanks Blush”

-Ms. Jess Williams, Google Review

Stunning florals

“We chose BLUSH as our florist for our wedding, and from the moment I reached out, Kelly exceeded all expectations. Her responsiveness, exceptional communication, and ability to bring our vision to life were outstanding. We envisioned a classic, elegant, and modern look with an all-white colour palette with candles, and I had complete trust in Kelly from the start. She truly understood what we were after. The florals were absolutely stunning, and I’ll always be forever grateful to Kelly and her team for making our wedding day so perfect!”

Roma Blooms Florist is a small shop located in the Central Business District. They might have a small place, but they have a gorgeous collection of flowers you can shop for.

From in-demand red roses to classic white bouquets, they have it. They also cater to different occasions like birthdays, graduations, and sympathy. However, they don’t arrange flowers for weddings.

For us, Roma Blooms Florist is ideal if you’re going to grab a quick little something for someone. They’re not just for big events and arrangements.

Pricing? Customers appreciate their well-priced flowers. For instance, a client ordered a bunch of pink roses, and it only cost her $39. For us, it’s a great deal..

They do same-day and gift deliveries as well. Clients shared that the flowers are carefully packed and delivered, making shopping for flowers convenient.

Things to worry about? All good except for their availability via phone. A customer complained that he’s having a hard time placing an order on their site, but no one answered the phone.

Pros

  • Great and convenient location
  • Attractive flower selection
  • Caters to a range of occasions
  • Affordable pricing
  • Offers same-day and gift delivery

  • Efficient local service

Cons

  • Limited scale and inventory
  • No wedding services

We’re really happy with how comprehensive Highland Park Flowers’ services are. They cater to almost all occasions and even have speciality services like weddings, dried, and high-style floral arrangements.

We also fell in love with their designer’s choice collection. It’s a pretty convenient option for those who don’t have inspiration yet. From a starting price of $71, you can have a well-arranged bouquet. For us, pricing is reasonable.

Most clients also said that the shop offers great prices. Some even shared that they keep coming back due to the shop’s great deals, like the colourful birthday bouquet.

We also love that they can send flowers overseas. Their coverage includes the Philippines, the USA, and Australia. So, if you want to surprise someone abroad, this shop is the way to go.

Despite the positive feedback and services, there are a few things to note, though. First, there were times when the delivery was late. Second, the quality of the handwritten note that comes with the flower isn’t that great.

Pros

  • Comprehensive floral services
  • Has a designer’s choice collection
  • Great pricing and deals
  • Has international flower delivery
  • Great for last-minute gifting
  • Covers a wide range of occasions

Cons

  • Delays in delivery
  • Low-quality handwritten quotes

Great prices and amazing service

“Such a lovely place, with great prices and amazing service! Have purchased twice recently, and it will now become my go-to place for when I need some beautiful flowers”

-Ms. Francesca Greenwood, Google Review

Outstanding experience

“I have been getting flowers from Evelyn for probably about 10 years now. Her arrangements are always beautiful. She goes out of her way to help. And always has a smile. I purchased another bunch today and again had an outstanding experience. Above and beyond expectation. I just had to write a review.”

Floriculture may have only been founded in 2020, but it has already made a name for itself with a spacious shop full of vibrant flowers and a nice-looking website for online orders.

While they don’t specialise in wedding arrangements, they shine in events like graduation and school balls. That is aside from occasions like birthdays, funerals, and retirement homes.

What we also like about their arrangement service is that flowers come with a water-filled box. So, you don’t need to hunt for a vase immediately and just display them right away to brighten up your space.

The customers we talked to praised the freshness of the shop’s flowers and the friendliness of their florists. Many also appreciated that the shop has potted plants and an adorable gift collection that doesn’t cost that much.

When it comes to delivery, flowers are delivered on time and safely. The store also sends photos before sending them away. This means a lot because you know exactly what’s coming and when.

The only thing that we heard a bit of negative is the misleading visual representation of bouquets online. A customer was a bit confused about the size of the flowers sent to him versus the ones posted on the site.

Pros

  • Fresh flowers
  • Water-filled box arrangements
  • On-time and safe delivery
  • Send updates about the delivery
  • Warm and friendly florists
  • Budget-friendly gift options
  • Inviting a physical shop

Cons

  • Not ideal for weddings
  • Inconsistent online representation

Reasonable pricing

“This is our go-to florist! They always have the freshest flowers and offer service with a smile. Prices are very reasonable, and they also have a lovely selection of pot plants. Their gift collection is classy too. Always happy with their service and willingness.”

-Mr. Murad Padania, Google Review

Enthusiastic and skilled florist

“Olwyn arranged our wedding bouquets and boutonnieres that happened in April 2025. It was magnificently done, masterfully executed, and the enthusiasm behind arranging my boutonniere to include a piece of broccoli really drove it home and made it incredibly personal and special. Highly, highly, highly recommend floriculture for all your floral arrangement needs”

-Ms. Vinu Vijay, Google Review
